15/08/05 - Jim Mallinson, 72.6km from Combe Gibbet

Had a good one yesterday after a lot of false starts. Nobody got away from Combe until 3.15ish and then lots of us climbed out. I had an easy flight with Adrian Thomas all the way to the sea breeze convergence where we enjoyed ourselves playing around in the curtain cloud before setting off on a lovely long glide to the coast. I had my LW radio and had been tuning in to the Test match between each cycle on the hill. Couldn't listen to it in the air because my instruments were interfering with it. When we landed there were 10 overs to go and 3 wickets to get. Got news after about 5 overs that Hugh Ginty was coming to pick us up. Then found a pub. Only bad thing about the day was that we didn't quite win the Test...
