Wind: not nearly enough
You made the right choice Reech. I ground handled at launch with naive expectation, to no avail. Got more exercise walking across a boggy swamp than I normally do in a month.

Wind: NE 12 - 16 mph.
Sounds as if for the first time I managed to get to the right hill on the right day. Sunshine, thermals and a local film crew - see http://www.vimeo.com/9274635 - the music's cheesy but there's a good close up of my bald patch!

2010-02-06 In the car............ Made a determined effort to avoid the obvious and flyable option of Pont and went for an extended drive past The Blorenge to Hay Bluff which was in cloud then a tea shop which was nice then to a beclamed Pandy................. Reech

Wind: NNE Just about enough
Boated about in the murk for a bit, just about managing to get 150' ato at one stage. Could just about say I got to cloudbase for the first time this year as the murk was definitely thicker at that height.

Wind: NNE - NE, a bit
Woo woo, got to cloudbase. OK, it was only 300', but it was a genuine visit to the white room. Plenty of airtime if you wanted, and had thick enough gloves. Geoff thought it was too easy and went off in search of a rotory play to fly. I believe he found one on the ridge behind Bratton village.
